Hauser Trio

Hauser Trio

The Hauser Trio, featuring Romana Hauser, Ruth, and Stefan Hackl, plays folk music from the Bavarian-Tyrolean border region as well as "classical" Ländler by Mauro Giuliani on guitars made by Hermann Hauser (1882-1952). The trio formed in the winter of 2022/23 after playing music together as neighbors.

Romana Hauser took lessons from Stefan Hackl from the age of 14, who encouraged her to explore her folk music roots in addition to her classical training. In addition to performing in various groups such as Leukentaler Stubenmusik and Kaiserspiel, she became known above all for her solo performances in the old Tyrolean tuning ("gypsy tuning"). After obtaining her teaching qualification and concert diploma, she went on to study music education. Today, the magister and doctor teaches at the University of Education in Tyrol.

Ruth and Stefan Hackl discovered folk music late in life. At the end of their professional careers as guitar teachers, they found time to make music together again and occasionally performed with Sepp Eibl and friends at his concerts on Lake Tegernsee.  Stefan Hackl has made a significant contribution to the field of folk music research and has published numerous specialist articles and sheet music editions.

Hermann Hauser's guitars were particularly appreciated by folk musicians in Bavaria. Sepp Eibl, Rudi Rehle, Hans Igl, and others preferred to play the Viennese models.

The Hauser Trio will provide musical entertainment on Monday, July 6, after the concerts in the restaurant.
