Judicaël Perroy

Judicaël Perroy was born in Paris in 1973, started playing the guitar at the age of 7 and is known as an exceptionally virtuoso classical guitarist and musician. In 1997, he won the prestigious first prize in the 15th International Competition of the Guitar Foundation of America, which led to a tour of the United States and Canada with more than sixty concerts. This award was the starting signal for an international career that has taken him to the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow, the National Concert Hall in Taipei, the Teatro de la República in Mexico and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. 

 

After positions in Lille and San Francisco, Judicaël Perroy has been teaching at the Haute École de Musique de Genève since 2020. As a sought-after teacher, Judicaël is regularly invited to give masterclasses at many of the best conservatories and universities in the United States and abroad. His students regularly win top prizes at international competitions. 

 

Perroy has recorded ten albums, two of which are dedicated to the works of J. S. Bach and M. M. Ponce (Naxos), as well as a recital album with works by Ourkouzounov and Bogdanović (GHA 2024).
