Alpine Folk Music - workshop with Stefan Hackl

Stefan Hackl has spent ten years conducting field research documenting folk guitar playing in Tyrol, recording and publishing numerous pieces. He has played with Sepp Eibl, Wolfgang Neumüller, and Klaus Karl, among others, as well as in the groups "Tiroler Wechselsaitige" and "Hauser-Trio." 

The course is aimed on the one hand at folk musicians who want to deepen their knowledge of the instrument, and on the other hand at classically trained guitarists who are looking to get started in folk music.  

The workshop is a basic course in melody playing and accompaniment. During the week, there will be opportunities for in-depth study in individual lessons or for working on pieces in a group.
